Recently, you may have seen that Uber’s newest idea has officially hit #Atlanta. Right before the Atlanta City Council came to their conclusion regarding the new e-scooter law in the city, Uber announced their JUMP bike arrival to the city.
Uber JUMP bikes are pedal-assist electric bikes. This means that the harder you pedal, the faster you will go. The JUMP bikes are similar to that of Bird and Lime e-scooters, and possibly more dangerous.
E-bikes are seen as traditional bikes in the eye of the law. You are required to use the same regulations for e-bikes just as you would a regular bicycle. Read here for the Georgia bicycle laws. With that, you should also keep the same safety tips in mind just like you would with a regular bicycle and even a vehicle.
